Tameka Christmas
Executive Director & Founder

Tameka Christmas is the Founder of The Mama Wellness Foundation and graduate student at Baylor University where she studies community health and program development. In addition to The Mama Wellness Foundation, she operates a full-time business where she assist nonprofit organization business foundation, grants, branding, and program/service development. After becoming a mother, she worked closely with her therapist and doula to manage postpartum depression and build an incredible relationship with her son. Her unwavering vision revolves around dismantling the stigma associated with postpartum depression while empowering mothers to recognize their own needs and cultivate a supportive community to thrive in motherhood.

Kallia Milillo

Grant Specialist

Kallia Milillo is a Maternal and Child Health advocate, health educator, and research analyst. She received her Master of Public Health degree from St. Ambrose University. Her specific focus in Maternal and Child Health has consisted of vulnerable populations including women of color. In her spare time, she serves as a policy and advocacy committee member for the Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition. As a single mother herself, she understands how becoming a mom can present new challenges which cannot be anticipated. As an Intern at the Mama Wellness Foundation, her goal is to help those in need as they enter motherhood and help end the stigma of postpartum depression in Black communities.

Jasmine Blunt
Board Member

Jasmine Blunt is a doctorally-prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Jasmine a Board Member of The Mama Wellness Foundation. She received her education from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She also holds certifications in Maternal and Child Health as well as Health Disparities and Health Inequality from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is passionate about supporting mothers during the perinatal period, including pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Her goal is to empower mothers to prioritize their mental health and well-being, leading to healthier and happier families.

Jasmine Johnson
Board Member

Jasmine Johnson is an entrepreneur and the owner of Jasmine J. Creative, a boutique branding and marketing agency specializing in supporting small business owners, with a particular focus on empowering women entrepreneurs. With her expertise in branding and marketing strategies, Jasmine helps clients develop their unique brand identity and effectively communicate their message to their target audience. Her passion for supporting women in business aligns perfectly with the foundation's vision of improving maternal mental health and providing the necessary resources for mothers.

Myisha Jackson
Board Member

Myisha Jackson is a phenomenal Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong commitment to the Black community. She is the founder and owner of Healing Journey Counseling Center, a private practice, where she provides a safe place for millennial women and teen girls struggling with adjusting to life’s transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. She graduated from University of Louisiana Monroe with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Myisha’s ultimate goal is to minimize the negative stigma of therapy in the Black community, help millennial women and teens identify mental health issues, and bring awareness regarding the importance of mental health counseling.

Cydney Burchfield
Board Member

Cydney Burchfield is the founder and executive director of Create Her Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting young ladies through various impactful initiatives such as events, workshops, and mentorship programs. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree with a minor in Health Services Administration from the University of Memphis. As a mother herself, she is committed to providing her knowledge and skills to impact mothers by serving as a board member of The Mama Wellness Foundation.
