With the birth of a baby comes the birth of a mother, and it is essential to nurture her wellbeing too. Far too long, black mothers have been reminded of their duty as caregivers and encourage to be strong. This event is designed for you to release the cape, prioritize you, and learn from other black mothers how they challenge society norms as a black mother.
Whether you are a mother who has recently recognized the importance of your own wellness or someone striving to overcome the mindset that you no longer matter, this event is tailored for you. Walk away from this experience equipped with actionable resources that empower you to prioritize yourself starting today. Because as a mother, your wellbeing matters and taking care of yourself is the first step towards a healthier and happier journey.
RELEASING THE STIGMAS, CULTIVATING YOUR TRIBE, & PRIORITIZING YOUR SELF CARE
The Beauty of Black Mamahood is an intimate panel style brunch held in Baton Rouge on Saturday April 13, 2024. Taking place during National Black Maternal Health Month, our brunch will feature expert discussions on black maternal health, beauty after birth, and sisterhood, while providing a platform to destigmatize mental health and empower black mothers to embrace their bodies and individual journeys. The event will include interactive stations, networking opportunities, and podcast-like discussion stations.
